Sharda Shanbhag is a Technical Officer at ICMR-NIIH, where she has been contributing since 2008. She is currently pursuing an in-service PhD in Applied Biology, focusing on the immune response in severe haemophilia A patients. Her expertise lies in genetic diagnosis of haemophilia A, Haemophilia B, VWD, other rare bleeding disorders, and human platelet antigen genotyping. She has led and co-led multiple research projects, including bleeding risk assessments in Haemophilia carriers and point-of-care diagnostic technology development. With over a dozen publications, conference presentations, and multiple awards, she is also a lifetime member of prestigious hematology societies and actively involved in the World Federation of Hemophilia Twinning Program.
