Biography:
Rebecca Kruse-Jarres is the Director of the Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders (WACBD) in Seattle, WA, USA and provides care for over 1,000 people with bleeding disorders across the state of Washington. She is also Professor of Medicine and Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington.
Dr. Kruse-Jarres began her career in nursing, before receiving her master’s degree in Public Health and Medical Doctorate in 1999 from the School of Medicine at Tulane University. She completed her residency in internal medicine, fellowships in Hematology/Oncology and Coagulation Medicine at Tulane University. She became Associate Director of the Louisiana Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders and moved to Seattle to direct the Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders in 2014. Dr. Kruse-Jarres is the previous President of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society, is the Medical Director for the Mountain States Hemophilia Network, and has been active in the humanitarian program of the WFH providing education in non-factor therapies. She has participated in numerous clinical trials investigating non-factor therapies for bleeding disorders.
