Hello everyone! My name is Quinn Kennedy, and I am a 21 year old student from Cleveland, Ohio, USA. I am currently pursuing a degree in Statistics from Ohio University. Over the past few years, I have dedicated my time to advocation for Glanzmann's Thrombasthenia (GT) with hopes of it being more widely recognized. GT is an inherited platelet disorder that causes excessive bleeding and bruising. I was diagnosed with GT at one month old, and it was terrifying for my family since there was so little availible information. My goal is to raise awareness for GT in the medical industry, while also helping individuals and familys that deal with GT. I take great pride in being able to use my experiences to help others with the same rare bleeding disorder. I beleive that it is essential for the rare bleeding disorder community to stick together and strive for more representation within the medical industry.
