Clive is the youngest of three brothers, all with severe haemophilia A.
Clive is the current President of the UK Haemophilia Society. Having spent 9 years on the board, 6 years as chair, Clive stepped down as Chair in NOvember 2024 and was appointed as Honorary President. He chairs the sub-committee on the UK Infected Blood Inquiry. Clive is a patient representative on the UK Rare Disease Framework Board.
Clive is the current chair of the WFH Youth Committee and served on the board of directors of the WFH from 2020-22.
Clive is passionate about raising awareness within the bleeding disorder community of what is possible: ‘I don’t believe Haemophilia should limit what people do’. Despite arthritis in his ankles Clive is very active, having run the Brighton Marathon, competed in numerous triathlons and completed four Ironman triathlons in five years. In 2018, Clive qualified to represent Great-Britain in his age-group at the European Duathlon Championships. In 2024, Clive was part of a group of climbers with bleeding disorders who attempted to summit Mont Blanc.
